Doors Open: Unlocked (Berlin)

After two UK editions, Resident Advisor has partnered with Refuge Worldwide to take Unlocked (FKA Access All Areas) to Berlin for the first time!

This one-day event is free to attend for people aged 18 and above. The primary aim of Unlocked is to address the lack of diversity within the music industry by helping those who face barriers to entry. For this reason, we will prioritise applications from FLINTA, POC, LGTBQI+ communities and from people with visible and nonvisible disabilities and/or from lower-income households.

Bursaries covering rail travel are available for people based in Brandenburg and traveling to Berlin, please opt in on the form if you require one. Rail travel from other German states may only be covered in exceptional circumstances, please specify in the form should this apply to you.

The event will take place on Thursday 16th May from 11:00 - 19:00 in Neukölln. A free lunch and refreshments will be provided and the sessions will be documented for the RA and Doors Open platforms (photography + videography). The workshops will be conducted in English but there will be German translation on offer.

You can apply in writing, or you can record yourself via audio or video and include links under each question. If you have any specific access needs relating to the application process or the project itself, please contact iona@doorsopen.co.

The deadline to apply is by the end of Friday 26th April and we will inform all applicants of our decisions on the following Friday 3rd May.

Once you've submitted you'll be emailed a copy of your answers and you'll be able to edit them up until the deadline.

Thank you for your application.
