VerTrauen vs RƎVO⅃ution | Asmaa Sbou & Betelihem Fisshaye

What role do gender and sexuality play in the lives of people who experience intersectional entanglements? How do gender and sexuality relate to migration, racism, classism, and sexism? In the days we live in, what is Black love and what does VerTrauen vs REVOLution mean? Are gender and sexuality a part of our identities or rather an institutionalised system? Would a queer feminist perspective help?
 Asmaa Sbou is going to have different people coming in, talking, discussing, and dreaming together of a way to love in our community.

Their guest today is Beti/ ቤቲ (she/her) who was born in Addis Abeba to Eritrean parents, moved to Eritrea before migrating to Germany, and lived for the longest time in Frankfurt. She refers to herself as a daughter, sister, aunty, and as an artist. Since questions of identity and the love for her heritage guide her through her life, a big part of what she relates to are different forms of art, just as performing, singing, creating, community building, and spirituality. This is one reason why she now lives in Heidelberg, works as a social worker with teenagers, and is a member of the art collective Ore arts.
